Jonathan made history as the first person in SA to win two prime time reality shows after being chosen as the winner of Top Billing Presenter Search in 2012 and the winner of Strictly Come Dancing Season 7.

Jonathan is a writer, actor and director who is constantly noticed for his hunky good looks – hence being voted Cosmopolitan’s sexiest man in SA in 2014.


South African hip hop musician and record producer, Mthembeni Ndevu, is a music legend and the man behind the debut hit single… “Roll Up”.

At the mere age of 9, Emtee took to the stage for the first time at a Primary School Talent Competition and blew the crowd away with his talent. He rocketed to fame with the release of his hit single ‘Roll Up’.

He won his first award at the Metro FM Music Awards in 2015 for song of the year. To date he has 4 Metro FM Music Awards, 2 SAMA’s and 1 SAHHA. In his first year he gained 7 awards and was also nominated for a BET award.


This up and coming Durban rapper from Queensburgh is proof that dynamite comes in small packages. Jackson Ngwenya works as a police officer with a specialised unit at the SAPS during the day, and at night, produces his own lyrics as an aspiring and extremely talented SA rapper.

Jackson is a huge fan of the Tropika Celeb and SA’s best rapper – Emtee. “He is my favourite celebrity, as he’s the type of person with whom I’d love to work with in the future”. Jackson is inspired by Emtee’s rise to fame and believes that they’ll make a winning combination on the island.


Ravishing South African Actress and striking beauty – Jessica, is a one of a kind with big dreams and large ambitions.

Born in KwaZulu Natal, Jess is best known for her character on Mzansi Magic’s Isibaya as Qondi AKA Ndlovukazi where she plays a queen, the wife of TV heavyweight Vusi Kunene.

She was also on Vuzu Amp’s ‘Ayeye’ as Eve.


Savannah (30) is a young, dynamic, qualified and ambitious entrepreneur with great work experience, a strong personality, and super friendly persona. She is a graphic designer, owns a small business and simply loves to dance.

Originally from Bethlehem in the Free State, she was raised by her single mother Verna. Savannah runs on never-say-die energy, and apart from freelancing as a designer and running her own business, she enjoys cooking, shopping, dancing and playing sport.

Savannah’s dream and ambition is to break in to the South African entertainment industry and feels that taking part in the Tropika Island of Treasure Seychelles could be her big break.


Loving, caring, and drop-dead gorgeous, our home-grown Karlien is a passionate singer and actress with a heart of gold.

Karlien is the much-loved winner of Strictly Come Dancing Season 8 and a fashionista who never leaves the house without looking like a million bucks.

She has a total of 3 albums, all of which have gone platinum and has scooped up accolades including 2 SAMA awards, 7 Ghoema awards as well as 6 Tempo awards.


Pretoria born, Wim Grobler (28) is a Marketing Manager for a research and development company. When he’s not working he spends time with wife and their animals on their small holding just outside Pretoria and enjoys going to the gym, hiking, playing golf and taking a ride on his Harley.

Wim doesn’t normally enter competitions, but after having learned his favourite celebrity – Karlien van Jaarsveld, was taking part, he couldn’t resist entering. “I believe she is a very down to earth person whose celebrity status does not change who she is”.

If Wim and Karlien win the R1 million, he will take his wife back to Disney World where he proposed and invest the rest of his winnings.


South African actor, model and singer, Anga, AKA NaakMusiQ, is well loved for his humble personality, sporty physique and contagious smile.

Born in PE, Anga made his first TV appearance as MJ in the South African soapie – Generations. With the soapie being one of the biggest in the country, he became an overnight sensation as thousands tuned in for their daily date with Anga. He is currently a leading star on SABC3’s – Isidingo.

Throughout his music career, Anga has performed with South African music legends such as Euphinok, DJ Fresh, Lulo Café and Mo Flava. He continues to grace our small screens on TV shows such as Z’bondiwe and iGazi.


This 32 year old considers himself a jack of all trades. Actor, video editor, personal trainer and to top it off… an underwear model.

Bongs Ndima was raised in Eshowe, KZN. In his time off, he loves to travel and keeps fit by running, swimming and spending time in his happy place – the gym! Bongs entered Tropika Island of Treasure Seychelles to conquer a challenge, boost his business, pay off debt and spoil his mum.

Bongs is a fan of all the celebrities, however looks up to Anga. “I think he’s a hard worker just like me. He multitasks with his acting, music career and various gigs which shows his commitment and drive in life.”

Hunky Maurice is a professional actor and all round artist production owner and K-star 7 ambassador. We were first introduced to the hunky star in 2007 when he landed the role of Calvin Xavier on SABC 3’s – Isidingo.

With a love for dancing and acting, Maurice is also an award-winning actor who is currently 10th on the list of sexiest men internationally in the Cosmo magazine. Ladies, there’s a fine reason to watch.


A full time model and aspiring actress; Michelle Allen is no stranger to the small screen having come 6th in the reality show – Africa’s Next Top Model. This elegant beauty with a love for fitness, is originally from Pietermaritzburg and currently teaches yoga.

When asked why she entered, she replied with a big smile… “I entered because… sheesh, who wouldn’t want to battle it out for 1 million rand whilst getting a tan at the same time?”

Michelle is a big fan of Peach flavoured Tropika and insists she drinks so much, it probably makes up most of her bloodstream. Although she’s a fan of all the Tropika Celebs, she has her eye on Maurice who she believes is the perfect partner to help her win the million rand grand prize.


Born to perform, Sivuyile Ngesi, also known as Siv, is one seriously multi-talented guy who has the world at his feet.

Siv steals the spotlight and never seizes to wow South Africans with his charismatic humour, singing, dancing, presenting skills and acting.

You can catch Siv in action on SABC 3’s ‘The Man Cave’ where he co-presents with DJ Warras, Lunga, and Janez. He speaks fluent Xhosa and English and has numerous performances all across the globe.


Khabonina (Khabz for short) is a bubbly, 27 year old lover-of-life from Durban. When she’s not working as a Chiropractic intern, she models to pay the bills. She has a keen interest in the physiology of the human body and loves to stay fit by running, hiking and spinning.

When asked why she entered she replied… “To become famous. I’m joking! I entered the show because I’m competitive and fun-loving and always looking for a challenge to showcase GIRL power! My favourite celebrity is comedian – Siv Ngesi. He seems like a focused, cool, down to earth guy and is just as competitive as I am. Being a comedian I presume he’s also quite funny.”

Khabz plans to use the winnings towards her weddings. She smiles when she confirms ‘weddings.’ “Coming from a culturally rich family and living in the modern western world, both types of weddings are part of the plan.”


South African beauty, actor and presenter, Zakeeya is determined to do it all with her fearless attitude and bubbly personality.

Zakeeya first caught our eye with her incredible acting talent on The Wild, followed by her performance in SABC3’s High Rollers. From the big screen to ballroom dancing, Zakeeya was the winner of Strictly Come Dancing Season 6.

Currently she has us all tuned in daily where she plays the role of hot-blooded Samantha Sharma on Isidingo. She is also a presenter on SABC 3’s eastern lifestyle and entertainment show, Mela.”


Originally from Durban, Dilon Reddy is a 25 year old retail facilities manager who lives in JHB. A gym bunny and sports fanatic, Dilon is a huge fan of South African cricket, rugby and soccer.

Dilon entered the show because he loves sport and has always wanted to be a part of a reality TV show.

His favourite celeb is Zakeeya Patel. He admires her energy, and zest for life. “If there is one person that can keep you going and beat the boredom, it’s her. She’s a fighter that never gives up and goes for what she wants.” Dilon hopes to take home the grand prize of R1 million with Zakeeya and is planning on investing his half of the winnings on his first home.
